When approached by
Dinah Alcon Skincare Studio to bake cupcakes for an aromatherapy/reflexology event, I needed to come up with a cupcake flavor that would complement the featured services. One of my favorite spa scents is lemon lavender for it's refreshing yet relaxing effect - and surprisingly enough, the combination also makes a fantastic cupcake.
The lemon cupcake was infused with a lavender simple syrup, and topped with a cream cheese frosting flavored with a hint of lemon and lavender. To add a decorative touch, lavender blossoms were sprinkled on each mini cupcake.
The result: a bright cupcake with subtle floral flavor...perfect for a relaxing day at the spa!
